Bring in your broken appliance, lamp, small furniture item, clothing, bike, toy etc. and receive guidance from fix-it coaches. Learn how to disassemble, diagnose, and hopefully fix the problem and go home with a working item. Everyone (especially middle school age children) is invited.
- Your non-working thing (carry-in only);
- Any tools you already own that might be helpful;
- Any knowledge or advance research you have done on the issue; and
- Box, bag and/or small containers for parts. Muffin tins are great for holding tiny bits and pieces while you work.
Whether you fix your item or not, you will learn more about how it was manufactured and how things work. If you are handy and can help repair, please contact Tess at Grey Bears, 831-479-1055 ext 226 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Enjoy coffee and a pastry while you wait for a clinic coach. If your item isn’t repairable we can recycle it while you check the Thrift Store and Computer Electronics Store for a replacement. Questions? Click here for answers to FAQs.
